A single envelope containing a film negative photograph of the Gillwyn Hotel on Lancaster Blvd (Formerly 10th St) The image also contains the old Lancaster Grammaer School, which was a brick construction building that use to exist across the street from the Gillwyn Hotel. The hotel was purchased in 1908 by George Webber and renamed to the Western Hotel, the Grammar School was structurally damaged and then demolished following an earthquake at the turn of the century. This negative was formerly owned by Glen and Dorene Settle at the Rosamond Tropico Gold Mine & Museum. ***At the time of this data entry it is unknown if this specific photo negative's image exists developed in MOAH collections*** |
